RECOVERIST THEATRE PROJECT: THE OUTRUN

Islington People's Theatre launched its first project in April 2022 #recoveristheatreproject. The project engaged over 30 adults from the borough, for weekly sessions,for ten weeks and received excellent feedback from the participants. Half way through the project, some of the participants were invited to audition to work on @wearebrockmedia's latest film #theoutrun, with Saoirse Ronan in the lead role, who plays a character on a recovery journey. Based on the book by @amymayyyy, six participants were cast in the film, which recently premiered @sundanceorg & soon @berlinale.

Saoirse, @nora_fingscheidt & Naomi came to see the sharing at the end of the project @swkplay to say thank you to all those who auditioned & to support the work of the group and the project.

Delighted to now be able to share the photo of us on stage in July 2022, after the sharing, celebrating both the participants involvement in the film, as well as the amazing work the participants produced on the project. It was an brilliant outcome for those who were cast.
