RECOVERIST THEATRE PROJECT - SESSION 8: LIVING NEWSPAPERS & ACTIVISM

Another brilliant session @ Recoverist Theatre Project on Friday, this time led by @jessicamckenna93, the session focused on using Living Newspaper techniques to frame activism & recovery.

Participants created big bold Brechtian style characters, worked with newspaper articles to improvise around & moved on to debate and discuss existing statistics and findings relating to recovery as material to create new scenes. The resulting scenes were a range of styles including surrealism, naturalism and the metaphorical…with some most definitely straight out of Dr Strangelove!
