RECOVERIST THEATRE PROJECT - SESSION 5: CREATING CHARACTERS

In this session participants engaged with a range of ways to create & build a character starting with choosing a postcard image & building physicality and character backstory. The exercises were challenging & meant participants took another new creative direction in the project, which they did with real commitment and engagment.

We worked the characters into scenarios, creating short improvisations working on some of the techniques drawn on during the session. This is a starting point for character work, which we will develop further over the coming weeks.
