RECOVERIST THEATRE PROJECT - SESSION 4: FORUM THEATRE/THEATRE OF THE OPPRESSED

Rehearse the Revolution founder Gaynor Smith led a brilliant Introduction to Forum Theatre: Theatre of the Oppressed session on Friday for our 4th session at Recoverist Theatre Project. Participants were very quickly engaged in Boal’s interactive warm up games and voices were starting to be heard in the space. By the end of the session, 3 separate groups had been formed & participants were performing in front of each other in issue-based scenes they had devised themselves. The scenes were intense, brutally realistic and often hilarious! At the end of the session Gaynor had a circle of participants around her wanting to know about joining her regular weekly group. An amazing session with excellent feedback!
