The 3 minute short film gives a brief introduction to #recoveristtheatreproject, IPT's first project - an applied theatre project based on #creativeactivism.
@islingtonpeoplestheatre have led the way in the borough with it's work with marginalised communities, producing projects combining applied theatre practice and activism as a means of resistance for #appliedtheatreforsocialchange

On Tuesday, 27th January, Recovery Street Film Festival are partnering with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London, during Dry January for an evening of lived experience filmmaking.
The event will feature screenings of six short films shortlisted for the 2025 Recovery Street Film Festival, and a panel discussion with Nicola Hollinshead from Islington People’s Theatre, Maddie Kitchen FRSA, creative director of the festival, and Performing Recovery's own Alex Mazonwicz, one of the shortlisted filmmakers.
The discussion will centre on storytelling and creativity as routes to recovery from addiction.
