BE THE CHANGE: GUEST FACILITATOR - TONY CEALY

islingtonpeoplestheatre is delighted to announce that @tonycealy will be our first guest facilitator for our next project #BetheChange.

Tony will present his hot peppered laboratory workshop 'Breaking Barriers', which offers lots of fun and the opportunity to play and take-away some Robust Games, Exercises & Techniques that can be used for personal development and exploration of issues.

Tony Cealy is an arts practitioner, facilitator and creative producer who makes work designed to engage the public in issues that are important for social change. Inspired by creative arts and design thinking, he works collaboratively with communities, artists, organisations and institutions to design projects, programmes and arts experiences in the public realm. Tony uses the arts to create dialogue about social, economic and political concerns. He collaborates with grassroots groups, charitable, community organisations and the wider voluntary community sector to provide creative programmes, projects and events that support people to live with the uncertainty and complexity that surrounds them. Out of these partnerships and collaborations he co-designs a range of community led workshops, performances, projects and programmes that are about empowerment and social change. Tony brings over 30 years of first-hand and learnt experience; working mainly in the voluntary & creative sectors, focusing on building equity in community engagement & development and service design.

#BetheChange is run in collaboration with #rehearsetherevolution & @themarginsproject at @unionchapeluk. The project is designed for adults who are experiencing homelessness, in recovery or trying to navigate Mental Health support in the borough.
