BE THE CHANGE BLOCK THREE SESSION TWO - THEATRE OF THE OPPRESSED WITH BETSY ROBERTSON

Week two was with Betsy Robertson leading a session on Theatre of the Oppressed. 

Betsy is a facilitator, theatre maker and practitioner working with young people. She trained at the National Youth Theatre, Rose Bruford, and The University of East Anglia. She specialises in Theatre of the Oppressed, having trained with Jana Sanskriti, based in Kolkata, for four months as part of her undergraduate degree. Betsy has facilitated for Sussex Downs College, The National Citizen Service, Brighton Women’s Centre, Unzipped Theatre and National Youth Theatre, where she currently works on their ‘Playing Up’ course.

Betsy is passionate about working with young people and their stories. She is continually inspired by individual’s finding their voice, developing their narrative, and making their story heard in the world unapologetically. Betsy has a unique, versatile professional experience that has created a rich skillset founded on compassion and connection. With a profound belief that everyone has creative potential, she is passionate about stories that create positive social impact.
