Vision, Mission and Values

Our Vision

To enable community members, with a focus on vulnerable and marginalised groups, to access drama and applied theatre practice as tools for communication, confidence building, self-expression and as a means to develop agency for making change in their lives and in their communities.

Our Mission

To engage community groups, with a focus on marginalised groups, with applied theatre and drama practices to create personal, social and political change.

Our Values

In carrying out our work we adhere to the values of:

  • Ethical participation
  • Boundaries to ensure vulnerable participant safety
  • Empowerment
  • Respect
  • Reciprocity
  • Teamwork
  • Confidentiality
  • Equality and diversity
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Listening and learning

Liberal artists work with communities to try to improve an individual’s own life chances and perhaps try to improve aspects of the system; the radical practitioner, on the other hand, understands the wider and deeper political context of the work and seeks ways of working with communities to challenge and change the systems that govern us.
